Oracle eBusiness Suite Implementation Project Manager
Job Description:
The successful candidate will head Oracle E-Business modules implementation
project management team. The position calls for an experienced Oracle Applications
Consultant / Project Manager with extensive project management / delivery
experience, delivering Oracle e-Business suite systems.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
· Lead the initial implementation project management team for Oracle 11g
database setup and Oracle E-business suite setup.
· Supervise vendor(s) on daily basis on system implementation
· Gather business requirements for any Oracle Financials module project.
· Supervise user training schemes
· Be proactive in identifying Oracle improvements for current or future projects.
Show initiative and creativity in developing innovative work-around solutions or new processes.
· Utilize Oracle tools (e.g. API, PL/SQL, Reports, et.) and other relevant packages.
· Should be able to analyze program changes and participate in technical troubleshooting, as well as implement technical solutions.
· Develop reports, end user layer tables, add/modify fields and setups, develop and implement customizations.
· Assist in other Oracle functional or technical duties as required.
· Review and Advise on Change Requests
· Offer Strategic Consultancy to the management
· Supervise the design, creation, maintenance, security and implementation of database structures and e-Business modules consistent with requirements
· Translate business requirements into specific system specs
· Strong configuration and design skills are essential to this position
· Has served as the Business Architect/ Analyst for at least THREE or more implementations
· Experience with Oracle Applications 11.5.8 and higher required
· Should preferably have experience of 2 - 3 end to end (Full Life Cycle) Implementation of Oracle financials in Oil & Gas Sector
· Must have the ability to successfully manage the business functional user community through the full project lifecycle to achieve 'fit for purpose
functionality' and successful adoption of the solution
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential
· A proven resource in gathering and defining business requirements,
determining design solution, carrying out prototyping, acceptance testing, training and defining support procedures
· Ability to implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
· Experience with reporting tools
Requirements
· 6+ yrs experience with significant Oracle E-Business implementation projects
· 6+ yrs Functional skills
· Extensive knowledge of all modules in Oracle 12 Financials, including ability to perform setups.
· Working knowledge of secondary set of modules (Manufacturing or HR/Payroll).
· Minimum of 3+ full business years of support as an implementer of Oracle applications.
· Strong skills with Reports and Consolidations
· Able to communicate effectively to end users, Oracle technical staff, and management
· Thorough understanding of workflow and module tables.
· Experienced in testing modules and developing test scripts.
· Requires excellent time and project management skills, organizational
and interpersonal skills
· Understanding of UML, RUP and Agile methodologies
· Candidates must have strong Oracle E-Business, stakeholder management, negotiation and analytical experience.
· Must have a working knowledge of a Shared Services or Contact Centre operation.
· Must have a detail understanding of business processes
· Understand Oracle Terminology and their application.
o Position and Supervisor Hierarchies.
o DFF – Descriptive Flexfields.
o EIT – Extra Information Types.
o Personalisation – Configuration – Customisation.
o Use of Dataloads and Web-ADi.
o Approaches to Oracle data migration.
· Possess business analysis and process mapping skills.
· Ability to define and articulate business requirements to Oracle Application

o BR.030 Functional Requirements
o BR.010 GAP Analysis
o MD.050 Technical Specification
o BR.100 Oracle Configuration
· Understanding and end-to-end experience of Systems Development Lifecycle
(SDLC):
o Requirements Definition.
o User Acceptance Testing.
o Pilot Operations.
· Exposure to wider Oracle e-business suite modules
Experience
· Must have at least 6+ years of experience as a business project manager or senior business analyst in the implementation of Oracle Financials, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, G/L, A/P, A/R, Asset Warehouse Management.
· Experience of working on large scale business change projects involving HR.
· Experience in project managing of Oracle e-business Suite applications (minimum 3 implementations).
Education
· BSc in Information Management or Information Technology
· MSc in Information Management or MBA will be considered a plus
Language Skills
Excellent command of the English Language is an absolute requirement. Command of the Arabic Language will be considered as an additional asset.
